There are buses running to every villages in district for every 1 hour from main depots .

From dist head quarter -Srikakulam

every 5 - 10 minutes a bus to Visakhapatnam ,
every 10 - 15 minutes a bus to Vizianagaram ,
every 30 - 45 minutes a bus to all town in srikakulam district .

Long journey buses from Srikakulam to

Rajamandry ,
Kakinada ,
Vijayawada etc. running every day .

History of APSRTC :

• in 1932 road motor transport services (RMTS) was started under control of Nizam state railways.. in Andhrapradesh .

• in 1958 jan 11 the same (RMTS) named as APSRTC .

• in 1982 in Srikakulam district RTC depot was began with 32 buses at Navabharath Junction .. and it was in Vizianagaram depot control.
• In 1984 the buses were increased to 40 and a self control Srikakulam Depot was established.
• in 1985 RTC complex was constructed opposite to district court .
• in 1987 August 10 buses added to made total 50 buses and formed as Srikakulam division.
• in 1987 November Nationalization of buses was done and 300 buses were added to srikakulam

to compitate with the private bus services RTC introduced HighTech , Garuda , valvo etc. bus services and the red bus was renamed as" palle velugu" with change of bus color to white & green.
Bus for Visakhapatnam modernize to A.C and named as "Meghamala" were introduced .
Long distance buses from Srikakulam to Vijayavada , Rajamandry , Amalapuram , Srisailam , Hyderabad were introduced .
