Umalakshyeswara temple -Gujarathipeta.



Sri UmaLakshyeswara temple at sivalayam veedhi(st.) of Gujarathipeta in Srikakulam Town is very old shiva temple of this area . the importance of this temple is its age of construction . this was constructed 150 years back on the south bank of river Nagavali by a saint named "Therthanarayana". on the outer walls of this panchayathana devalayam sevaral nagabhandhams were ensconced and it is believed that those who do not have children worship these Nagabhandhams will ger their desires fulfilled . Mythological stories describe that this shivalinga here was consecrated by Balaram.

All shiva archanas will be performed here as usual .
